Harold is an experienced registered architect with over 20 years of experience in the design and delivery of commercial and shopping centre developments for some of Australia’s leading real estate investment trusts and developers. His insatiable curiosity about future user and customer experiences is at the heart of all his creative decisions, enabling him to solve many complex design challenges facing developers at the intersection of commercial returns, leasing, marketing, and development objectives.

As the Founding Director of Perks and Co Design, Harold is passionate about optimising new and existing assets, crafting beautiful development outcomes that bring joy and delight to those they serve. Innovation through research is a key principle in Harold’s design approach, as he strives to deliver outcomes that are truly inclusive. With a keen eye for contemporary design and a genuine understanding of the diversity within our community, Harold continues to shape authentic places that inspire and leave sensible footprints for generations to come.

Never afraid to put pen to paper, Harold is highly skilled at accurate hand-drawing, which is efficient in the early phases of design. He also enjoys creating provocative hand-drawn artist impressions to assist clients in communicating early concepts to boards, tenants, funding teams, and local government assessment authorities.
